Opening of Eye hospital Today, we witnessed the realization of a vision that our Rotary District 3141 has been relentlessly working towards—an affordable eye hospital in Mulund that will provide quality eye care and treatment at a minimal cost to the underprivileged and needy sections of society. We are immensely proud that our club founder, @⁨Tehmina Khandwala Rotary Elegant⁩ and Kanderp Khandwala, through the CSR initiative of Axis Electrical Components, have contributed ₹25 lakhs towards this noble cause. We had the Honor of conducting a Speaker Meet with - Vishwas Nangare Patil, the highly respected IPS officer from Maharashtra (currently serving as Additional Director General of Police, Anti‑Corruption Bureau since December 2022) A 1997‑batch Indian Police Service officer with a career across regions like Mumbai, Nashik, Aurangabad, Latur, Kolhapur, Thane, and more . Awarded the President’s Police Medal for Gallantry for his courageous action during the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attack The 60min session with Vishwasji n His wife Rupaliji seemed a short one. Right from talking of his journey from a village to today holding such a powerful post, each line motivated all present in the hall. The Q&A session was remarkably witty n humorous. What took the whole crowd n the session to a Level beyond was his poem on Khakee, goosebumped with misty eyes was the feeling.
